Vinyl and Wine delivered to you door

If you’re the type of person who loves nothing more than settling down on a chilly autumnal evening with a glass of red wine and a record spinning in the background, then it’s good news for you, because the UK’s first wine and vinyl delivery service is here.

Stylus sends music lovers one classic album on 12” vinyl and an accompanying wine every month, with the idea that each bottle perfectly compliments the tone of record – whether mellow and bluesy or jazzy and upbeat.

The Stylus team has worked closely with wine-merchant Great Western, as well as leading wine expert Angela Mount, to make sure the wine always lives up to the record.

Founder Russell says:”The upsurge in record sales is in part due to a wider desire within society to own nice things again.

Technology dictates so much of our lives now, meaning our homes now lack what our parents and grandparents used to enjoy. People miss having real, tangible things – beyond just Netflix – that hold their attention. We think owning a good record collection, loaded with albums that spark hours of conversation, fills that void.

As the months go by, Stylus members will receive albums by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Prince, The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye and David Bowie.

Modern-day classics, by artists such as Amy Winehouse, Massive Attack, The Strokes and Jay-Z are on the cards too. You can check out the previous boxes here.

Not only do you get the music and the wine you also get artwork and a magazine.

Record sleeves used to include artwork and cool lyric sheets. Unfortunately, the newer pressing rarely do. So Stylus have commissioned a different artist/illustrator each month to create a 12×12″ piece of art to go with each month’s record. Frame it, if you want and create your very own art gallery.
